Palkia

Just...Palkia. What, do I need to come up with a more creative title than that?

Oh yeah, and COPIC MARKERS ARE FRIGGIN' AMAZING EVEN THOUGH I'M A TOTAL N00B AT USING THEM .

*Cough*

Anywho, I got to attend Animinicon in New York last week, (dressed as N, bwahah!) where gave a demonstration on how to use copic markers. Well I'd heard stories of these legendary tools of inexplicably amazing art alchemy, but was extremely skeptical as to how on earth people could do such things with MARKERS. After the demonstration, I was extremely excited to try them out for myself.

And then lo and behold happened to have a set of them and was amazingly awesome and let me borrow them. ^^ My first try was a random doodle of Lucario where I tried out various methods figuring out what worked and what didn't (and frequently went outside the lines, had my colors bleed all over the place and other good stuff. )

So for my second attempt I couldn't decide what to do. I draw Lucario too much. Lugia wasn't posing very well in my mind. So I randomly settled on Palkia. I didn't have a reference (we were...uh, at the lake) so there's a few off-model details, but on the whole it came out way better than I'd have ever expected. o.o;
